At the last Point Blank class before the Christmas Break some students were honored for their contributions and success in 2009.

The Teen class has grown considerably in 2009 and many strong candidates were presented for Junior Student of the Year. The winner was Bobby Huxford who's success in the League, constant attendance and the help he gives in classes and to other students are exemplary. Congratulations Bobby!

Senior Student of the Year was an even tighter race with many Point Blank members giving so much of their time and commitment to the gym, in the end the winner was Gary Mannion for being the first to training every night, the last to leave, competing every chance he got and always taking the time to help out. Thoroughly deserved Gary, well done!

The final award to be presented was done so in abstentia as the winner couldn't make it though the ice to the gym for his award. For success in the cage and a warrior spirit hard to top the award for Point Blank Gym Top Gun (Fighter of the Year) went to Enda Fenton.

The last class went off well with a mixed level bunch playing a variety of different wrestling and grappling festive games including "Steal the Stocking" and the Kids Class favorite "Jiu Jitsu Virus", we rounded out the night with some tag team grappling before breaking for two weeks. We even found time to give Sifu "Mad Dog" Murphy a present! (my how he has grown!)

Point Blank returns for Intermediates tomorrow night (Tuesday the 5th) with Tim's class and the beginners return on Thursday at 7pm.
